ÖVE
The ÖVE test mark is a national safety mark and is awarded by the Austrian Association for Electrical Engineering. In order to receive the ÖVE certificate for a product, the tested product must comply with the legal requirements according to the Low Voltage Directive and the EMC Directive.
The product test is carried out by an accredited test laboratory and requires not only the product itself, but also a construction and functional description. If the ÖVE certificate is awarded, it may be used for 2 years before a new test is required.
In addition to continuous market monitoring, which guarantees the correct use of the test mark, the ÖVE also carries out inspection visits to the manufacturer. This guarantees that the product is identical to the sample for which the certificate was issued, within the accepted manufacturing tolerances. If this is not the case, the ÖVE mark is withdrawn.
