If a product meets the requirements of the applicable UL standard, the UL LISTED mark may be used on the product. Connection terminals, for instance, are tested according to UL 486 C. It is important that the technical framework conditions are complied with when using the product. In addition to the UL LISTED symbol, our product documentation lists the wire sizes (AWG), wire types, voltages, currents and maximum operating temperatures that can be used.
The UL RECOGNIZED COMPENENT MARK is used when the UL type-approved product has been tested as a component for an end product. Our MICROCON SMD circuit board terminals, for example, are products that are only used in devices and are listed as RECOGNIZED COMPONENT.
