Hannes attended the Higher Technical Institute for Electrical Engineering and has been working at Electro Terminal since 2007. In 2020 he was completing his part-time study program in mechanical engineering and simultaneously became the leader of the Quality & Compliance Management department. This includes the Production Quality Management department, consisting of three employees, including Hannes.

The main responsibility of the department is to ensure compliance with quality standards and to implement ongoing improvements. A typical workday involves assisting production with quality issues and handling internal, supplier, and customer complaints. Tasks also include creating inspection plans and measurement programs for an automatic optical measuring device, as well as conducting gauge management. The department closely collaborates with R&D, providing support for development projects and approvals.

Quality incurs costs, so achieving the right balance between costs and benefits is a challenge. The quality planning requirements vary significantly in the three production areas: stamping, plastic processing, and assembly, due to the different technologies used.  There is one thing, however, that all three areas have in common: They all need stable production processes to achieve consistently high quality in mass production.
