Evolution
1953
Zumtobel starts production of terminal blocks (Integration of the Michel-Werke, manufacturer of plastic electrical components, into W. Zumtobel KG). The development and patent registration of the elastic connector strip EKL and the elastic junction box connector EDK are milestones in the history of connection technology.
1964
Dr. Walter Zumtobel and Ferdinand Rojkowski (Fahr, a division of Steka) set up Electro-Terminal in Innsbruck. Four years later, Zumtobel acquires all shares of Electro-Terminal.
